Issue: Nothing will turn on (gas range).

ALL RIGHT, LET’S CHECK ON THE FOLLOWING:

Make sure your power supply cord is plugged into a grounded 3-prong outlet. An improper plug setup can be the reason your gas stove isn’t working.

Has a household fuse blown or did a circuit breaker trip?

Replace the fuse or reset the circuit breaker. If the problem continues, please call a licensed and qualified electrician.

Is the range properly connected to the gas supply line?

  1. Make sure your gas pressure regulator shutoff valve is in the “on” position (see diagram below).
  2. Open the manual shutoff valve in the gas supply line. The valve is open when the handle is parallel to the gas pipe (see diagram below).
  3. Test all connections by brushing on an approved noncorrosive leak-detection solution. If bubbles appear, that means there’s a leak. Correct any leak found.
  4. Remove your burner grates, and check to see if your burner caps are level (see diagram below). If the burner caps aren’t properly positioned, the surface burners won’t light.
  5. Plug your range into a grounded 3-prong outlet.
  6. Make sure the rear leveling leg of your range is within the slot of the anti-tip bracket (see diagram below).

If your range isn’t properly connected to the gas supply line, you may need to contact a repair specialist. For more information, check your Installation Instructions.
