Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel is (obviously) the interquel between Borderlands and Borderlands 2.This is the first game in the series to take place on Pandora's moon Elpis and to introduce a space mechanic with low gravity and oxygen consumption.

Borderlands 1 & 2 Unlockables

Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel will reward veterans of the first and/or second Borderlands games with exclusive character customization elements, weapons and moonstones as in-game bonuses in Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel. That only happens when you start the game and you have a save file on the same console or PC hard drive that you completed the Borderlands 1 and/or 2 game(s) on.

Once you start up Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel, it detects save data from the original Borderlands and Borderlands 2, and rewards you with the following loyalty awards…

• Borderlands 1 Save File Rewards: Exclusive weapon, skin, and moonstones.
• Borderlands 2 Save File Rewards: Exclusive weapon, skin, and moonstones, plus badass points.
• Borderlands 1 & 2 Save File Rewards: If you have both game saves, you receive all the above, plus even more moonstones!

Unlockable New Game Plus Mode

How To Unlock New Game +: Complete the game once to unlock the “New Game +” mode option. When playing through the game’s campaign again using NG+, the enemies will be extra powerful.

Pre-order The Game For Free DLC: Pre-ordering with any retailer will ensure you receive the “Shock Drop Slaughter Pit” for free as a pre-order bonus! – If you’re too late to pre-order, it may yet become available as (reasonably cheap) paid DLC some time after launch.

The DLC description reads: “Enter the Shock Drop Slaughter Pit and face off against the toughest Scavs on Pandora’s moon, Elpis! Survive the battle and you’ll be feared and respected by the few left alive… not to mention the experience and gear you’ll earn!”
