This manual covers the operation and repair of the Toyota Camry. The repair manual describes the repair of cars with gasoline engines 2AZ-FE / 2GR-FE volume of 2.4 / 3.5 liters, a power of 123/204 kW.
In 2006, the sixth generation Toyota Camry officially debuted at the Auto Show in Detroit.
The length of the car remained the same, but the new Camry is 20 mm lower (1470 mm) and 25 mm wider (1820 mm) than its predecessor. The interior became more spacious due to the increase in the wheelbase to 2775 mm (plus 55 mm). The glazing area was reduced by raising the lower edge of the doors. On the review from the cabin, these changes are not affected.
Camry has everything that is typical for this class of car – good materials and a known quality from Toyota. All Camry are equipped with a standard display which can be displayed by reading the outside temperature, power reserve before refueling, average speed, average fuel consumption, distance from the beginning of the trip.
The car is installed two petrol engines – 4 and 6-cylinder. Gasoline 4-cylinder engine, 2.4 liters modified, changing the cylinder head and exhaust system. The power of the power unit has increased from 158 to 167 liters. With., the level of vibration, noise, decreased fuel consumption (6.9 l / 100 km on the highway and 9.8 l / 100 km in the city).
A new 3.5-liter V6 engine with 277 horsepower. gives the car a good dynamic – up to 100 km / h accelerates in 7 seconds. In the maximum configuration this engine is aggregated with a six-speed automatic transmission. The reaction of the car to a sharp depression of the accelerator pedal the new box halved – to 0.5 seconds.
Safety systems include belts with pretensioners and overload limiters. Two-stage front cushions, side and curtains provide protection over the entire length of the cabin. Camry is equipped with a safety steering column. Protection of the head is ensured by energy-absorbing materials. Seats provide protection against whiplash injuries to the spine and head.
